The client aimed to enhance their online presence to match their expansive physical footprint and extensive in-stock selection. The primary goal was to create a robust, user-friendly eCommerce platform to manage their large inventory and improve customer engagement.
To tackle the challenge of large-scale data integration, the team created a cron job to automate the insertion of products into the WordPress database, category by category. This approach allowed the system to handle the vast amount of data more efficiently by delaying script execution to prevent server overload.
The project was completed ahead of schedule, delivering a high-quality, fully functional eCommerce platform that met all the client's requirements.
